Medical Imaging Manager

The Role

This is a senior leadership role in regional Victoria. You’ll head a 40-person medical imaging department covering MRI, CT, ultrasound and general X-ray.

You’ll be responsible for the operational, clinical and strategic leadership of the department, inclusive of 40 FTE. Your leadership team includes:

• 4 Modality Leads: MRI, CT, Ultrasound and X-ray
• An Administration Manager overseeing a team of 12 administration officers

Key responsibilities include:

Providing strategic and operational leadership across all imaging modalities
Leading, developing and supporting modality leads and the wider team to build a positive, high-performing culture
Managing budgets, resourcing, rosters and service performance
Making sure the department meets radiation safety, accreditation and regulatory requirements
Driving quality improvement, service planning and equipment and technology strategy

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
• Significant leadership experience in medical imaging, ideally managing multi-modality services
• Strong people leadership, with a record of building teams
• Sound financial, operational and change management skills
• A solid understanding of radiation safety, accreditation standards and clinical governance
